Kernels can for example be used to define <a href="Random_measure" title="Random measure">random measures</a> or <a href="Stochastic_process" title="Stochastic process">stochastic processes</a>. The most important example of kernels are the <a href="Markov_kernel" title="Markov kernel">Markov kernels</a>.
